A Little Space of Grace

I heard a message not long ago from the book of Ezra. This weekend my Bible in 90 Days reading brought me once more to this book, and the message came back to mind.
The message was called "A Little Space of Grace."
Now of course Ezra was referring to the Jewish people when he referred to God's grace being shown to them. You see, the people of Israel had done wickedly. They had served other gods and turned their backs completely on the the one true God of heaven. Though He had saved them so many times, they rejected Him. So He gave them up to their wickedness and allowed them to be carried off into captivity.
But in the book of Ezra we see the rebuilding of the temple. We see the Jewish people humbling themselves before God and following all of His commandments. They wept and were truly remorseful for all that they had done, and God granted them a little space of grace.
The message that I heard said that we too are living in a space of grace. There are many in this world who have rejected God and His Son. They don't care what He did to save them. But there are some who have humbled themselves. There are some who have turned from their sins.
I'm thankful for God's grace. If you don't know what it feels like to live in His grace, come to Him today. He's waiting with arms wide open.
Read through the book of Ezra. Just as God was willing to give His people grace, He offers it to you as well. I'll leave you today with the words to this song:

Grace, grace, God's grace
Grace that can pardon and cleanse within
Grace, grace, God's grace
Grace that is greater than all my sin
