Seeking the Face of God - The Eyes of God
If we are to truly understand seeking the face of God, I think it may be easiest to break it down. God is attributed with eyes, ears, a mouth, and yes even a nose countless times through Scripture.
Today we are going to focus on the eyes of God. Why? Well, because I think that if we are to seek God's face, we must first see things as He sees them. We must recognize what God sees and how He sees it. If we learn to view things through the eyes of God, we will be one step closer to seeking His face.
First we must recognize that God sees our area. Take a look at Deuteronomy 11:12 to understand a little better what I mean, "A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year."
The eyes of the Lord are on our land from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. In other words, ALL. THE. TIME. There is never a second that He doesn't see the needs of our nation. There is never a moment that He glances away. I don't know about you, but in these days of perilous times (II Timothy 3:1) that is a very comforting thought to me. It is good to know that regardless of what happens in this world around me, God is there watching over me.
But God doesn't only see what is going on around us, He sees inside of us. He sees all the way to the heart. II Chronicles 16:9a says this, "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him." So as He is looking over the whole earth, He is also looking into the heart of every one of us. He not only sees our area. He sees our attitude. He knows exactly how we feel about Him in our hearts. I don't know about you, but that's a sobering thought. See, we can fool everyone around us. We can make ourselves look good to the whole world, but God knows the attitude behind each action. He knows if we are sincere.
So as He sees our actions, He truly knows if they are good (I Kings 15:5) or evil (I Kings 16:25). So as you are working for Christ, remember your motivation. Keep a check on your heart because God sees to the deepest part of you.
And if you remember what God sees, you will be one step closer to seeking His face.

Girl you touched on a subject that is "sensitive" and that's my heart. I am trying to work on some anger that is in my heart and that I'm having a hard time letting go and your post really gave me something to think about.
