God Is So Good

Well, I wanted to post yesterday, but I didn't leave the hospital until after 10 last night, and we live about an hour away from there. By the time we all got home, we were pretty beat. But God answered prayer (not to say that our prayers wouldn't have been answered if things had turned out differently, but I'm glad God chose to answer us in this way.)
Anyway, dad came out of surgery just fine. The surgery only lasted 2 1/2 hours (they said it would take at least three), but God must have put a special touch on the surgeon's hands. Also, we got news just minutes after we heard about my dad that a lady that goes to my church that had to have a cancerous tumor taken from her lung yesterday came through her surgery with flying colors, and the doctor now feels that he got all her cancer, and she won't have to face chemo or radiation.
Isn't God so awesome? Yesterday in that hospital, I know that God was there. I don't know how people go through life without Him or don't see Him for who He is. God is real, and He is good. He walked the halls of that surgical unit yesterday, and He blessed. So this is the tune I'm singing today:

God is so good,
God is so good,
God is so good,
He's so good to me.

He answers prayer,
He answers prayer,
He answers prayer,
He's so good to me.

I love Him so,
I love Him so,
I love Him so,
He's so good to me!

Thank all of you so much for lifting up my dad in prayer. It meant more to him than you'll ever know. I hope your day will be as blessed as mine!

I guess this recent report about prayer having no significant medical impact, is flawed. Oh well, wait till one of those "researchers" needs a medical miracle, then see if their smug atheism provides hope. I'm praising God w/ you, Heather.

Heather I am soooo very happy to hear about your dad! Yes, God answers all prayers sometimes not in the way we think best so I am very happy in his answer for your dad! Hugs my friend and hope you have a wonderful weekend. I plan on humming that song all day.

Sorry. I keep commenting under my daughter's name "about me" because she never logs herself out, and I never think to log myself in. :) Its really me though!
