Be Strong

I think God is trying to remind of something lately. In all the reading I've been doing I keep seeing one phrase repeated: "Be Strong!"
This shows me that being strong is a choice we make. Even in life's hard times we can choose to be strong. I don't think this means that we are always going to know exactly what to do. It means that we should always have a strong faith in God so that when life happens, we won't crumble under the pressure.
The secret to strength is admitting that you can't do everything on your own. You must be willing to hand things to God and allow Him to handle them. Sometimes He will send other people your way to help you carry the load.
God's definition of strength is completely opposite of the world's definition. God says being strong is being willing to lay down your pride, while the world says that being strong is doing everything to protect your pride.
Proverbs 16:18 says, "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall."
Having pride in ourselves and being unwilling to hand things over to God is asking for trouble.
So humble yourself today and as James 4:10 says, "He shall lift you up."
