Its Almost Here

Well, the day is almost here. On Sunday night our church choir will be performing our Christmas Cantata in, get this, a prison. You read right. We are getting the opportunity to go into a young men's prison. Kinda puts captive audience in a whole new perspective.
Seriously, God has opened up so many doors for us to be able to do this, and I just know that He's going to do an awesome work while we are there.
Getting this opportunity is something I needed. Many times I make snap judgements. I'll say, "That person is too far gone. I shouldn't worry about them anymore." But then I'm reminded, over and over, that nothing is impossible with God. No one has ever sinned enough to extinguish God's love for them. Every person needs us to love them and do all that we can for them in order to win them to Christ.
This past Sunday morning we had an awesome experience at our church. A woman entered the church in the middle of the sermon. She walked directly to the front of the church and told my grandpa (the preacher) that she needed to be saved. She needed God.
This woman's sister goes to our church, and we've been praying for her for years. She has struggled with addictions and depression and countless problems in her lifetime. She's tried to handle these issues alone, but Sunday morning she finally realized she couldn't make it anymore on her own.
What if her sister hadn't cared enough to tell her about our church? What if someone hadn't cared enough to pray for her? What if grandpa hadn't cared enough to stop the service and help her?
This life is full of opportunities to be a witness. If we take them, God will do things in ways we never expected.
So never neglect an opportunity that comes your way. No one is past God's reach!

Awesome story. What a blessing for those who had been praying. God is so good, and generous. Why do we doubt Him?
