Live For Jesus, He Died For You

When I was in high school, one of my best friends would always put this little saying as a PS to her notes, "Live 4 Jesus, He died 4 You." It was just a gentle little reminder about who we were supposed to be following.
I've been out of high school for six years now, and I'll be in my friends wedding in just a few months. But though many things have changed, the truth of that saying never has. No matter how old we get or how much life changes, we should still live for Jesus because He died for us.
Check out these verses:
Hebrews 12:1-2, "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."
It says in these verses to lay aside the weights of sin that so easily beset us. How do we do that? By looking to Jesus. He's the entire reason that we have faith. He took the shame of the cross for us. We owe our obedience to Him!
So live for Jesus today! He died for you!
